Information for Minors in Applied Mathematics
So you want to add an Applied Mathematics minor to your current major? Good choice. Here's all you need to know:
Requirements:
In addition to the calculus sequence (Math 111, 112 and either 211 or 213), you need three required courses and two electives. The required courses are Math 222 (differential equations), Math 244 (probability) or Math 333 (probability and statistics), and Math 337 (linear algebra) or their honors equivalents. The electives may only be selected from the list below. Note that Math 226 and Math 326 do not count toward the minor.
Becoming an Applied Mathematics Minor:
To declare an applied math minor, students can now request to declare a minor through their Highlander Pipeline or directly through the following link: Application to Change Major/Minor/Concentration
Advising for the Applied Mathematics Minor:
If you have questions about what courses to choose, please see a Minor Advisor in Cullimore Hall during their office hours or by appointment.
