Why You Should Add a Mathematics Minor to Your Degree!
A mathematics minor develops your quantitative, problem solving and critical thinking skills and experience. This may lead to more easily getting a job, starting with a higher salary, and expediting career advancement.
Each minor requires you to successfully complete the Calculus sequence (I, II, and III), as well as a combination of other minor-specific required courses and approved electives.
In addition to the calculus sequence, each minor requires 5 classes: either 3 or 4 required courses and either 1 or 2 electives. (Several of which you are likely already required to take if you’re a STEM major!).
See the math minor page on the NJIT website for specific details of each minor.
