Attendance Policy
FOR ALL Pre-100, 100, and 200-level Coordinated Courses and SOME Uncoordinated 100 and 200-level Courses
- If a student is absent for more than three classes, including both lecture and recitation and his/her test average is below 35 after the first midterm exam or below 45 after the second midterm exam, the student will be strongly advised to withdraw from the class. If the student does not withdraw, or if the limit of three absences is reached after the withdrawal deadline, he/she will receive the grade of F. The withdrawal deadline will be strictly enforced.
- In case of serious illness or other unavoidable causes, students must present appropriate documentation to the Dean of Students within two lectures of returning.
- Students must arrive in class on time. Two late arrivals (10 minutes or more after the start of class) are equivalent to one absence.
