A prerequisite is a course that is required PRIOR to taking a more advanced course. Therefore, students must successfully complete the prerequisite course before moving on to an advanced course. Students must earn a grade of “C” or better to satisfy most course prerequisites. For Math 139, a grade of “A” is required in Math 108. For Math 111, a grade of “B” or higher is required in Math 139.
Registration:
At the time of registration, it is the responsibility of the student to ensure that all prerequisites have been met for the classes the student is registering for. If, at any time, it is found that a student does not have the necessary prerequisites for a class, he/she will be withdrawn from the class.
When a student registers for a class with a prerequisite that the student is taking but has not yet completed at the time of registration, the student must successfully complete the prerequisite for the registration to be valid. If the prerequisite is not successfully completed, the student will be removed from the class.
