Faculty Position in Applied Stochastic Modelling, Methods and Analysis

The Department of Mathematical Sciences (DMS) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology seeks candidates to fill a tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in Applied Mathematics with particular emphasis on Stochastic Modelling, Methods, Computation and Analysis.  The Department is especially interested in candidates whose research is compatible with the department’s emphasis areas in mathematical biology, fluid dynamics, wave propagation, and materials science.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or related relevant discipline with strong research, funding and teaching potential for consideration at the Assistant Professor level. An appropriate record of accomplishments in classroom teaching, mentoring doctoral students, research publications, and funding is expected for appointment at the Associate Professor level. At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
