Registration Approval

Departmental APPROVAL is required to enter any Math Winter Session Course, based on the following:

• Students that wish to register for a Math Winter Session Course MUST have passed the same course at NJIT with a grade of “D” or better and are ONLY repeating the course to improve their grade.

Winter Session permission will NOT be granted to students that meet the following criteria:

• If the student has NOT completed the full course, due to a withdrawal, then the student must repeat the entire course during a regular semester (Fall, Spring or Summer, if available).
  
• If the student has NEVER enrolled in the course, then the student must register for the entire course during a regular semester (Fall, Spring or Summer, if available).

Registration Procedure

Students that meet the approval requirements to take a Math Winter Session Course must complete a Closed Course Form, listing the course they wish to register for.  Students should report to the Department of Mathematical Sciences located in Cullimore Hall, Room 606, to obtain a permit to enter the class.

• For the Winter 2008 semester, approval requests will be accepted by the Department from December 6 – 21, 2007.
  
• For the Winter 2009 semester, approval requests will be accepted by the Department from December 4 – 19, 2008.
  
• NOTE:  Students that are currently enrolled in the course for the Fall semester MUST receive a passing grade before Winter Session Approval will be granted.
