  • If a student is absent for more than three classes, including both lecture and recitation and his/her test average is below 35 after the first midterm exam or below 45 after the second midterm exam, his/her name will be forwarded to the Registrar with a request that the student be dropped from the course.
  • Students must arrive in class on time. Two late arrivals (10 minutes or more after the start of the class) are equivalent to one absence.
  • In case of serious illness, or unavoidable causes, students must present appropriate documentation to his/her instructor within two lectures of returning.
  • Any student who feels there are extenuating circumstances should consult the Course Instructor, Course Coordinator, or Associate Chair of Undergraduate Studies.
